Barcode+Sound: Traces of Invisible Codes (detail)

Sculptural: Thousands of barcodes from discarded product packages I have encountered within one year of time; rewired series of mini speakers; spot lights; cast shadows; industrial meshes; metal rods; safety pins; metal eyelets; custom sizes of Ziploc bags. Audio: Found digital sound of laser scanning barcodes (re-edited and remixed) played by3 separate channels of mini speakers. Sound pattern is formed by chance.

Plastic grocery bags weaved with thread and twine that I collected everyday. Ends of each unit suspended in mid air (hung with fishing line).

Interesting, a rag rug made from plastic bags and other plastic refuse. I like the rough hand-made quality.

These objects have such a nice textural look, plus the added bonus of being casted from found objects and materials. Very nice work.
